Westside Sporting
Grounds is a private sporting clays club, located on over 167
beautifully wooded acres, just west of Houston, Texas.

The property is picturesque with abundant native live
oak trees and shaded glades. Members at Westside experience not only a
great practice range but also socialize at the clubhouse, entertain
large groups in the big barn or just enjoy a beautiful sunset evening
around the fire-pit.
Westside
offers its members:
Two 10 station sporting clays courses. One is for intermediate and
advanced shooting practice, the other is for beginners and those who
want to hone the basics. In addition to our two state of the art
sporting clays courses, we have a 5-Stand layout, and an
automatic ball trap layout.
Westside Shooting
Academy now has two resident instructors on staff. Beginning and
novice shooters may be comfortably introduced to the exciting game of
sporting clays at Westside. The Westside instructors will have
beginners amazed at how quickly they will be breaking targets and
hooked on this fun new hobby.
Sporting Clays
The Club caters to its members with a wide variety of challenging and
real hunting simulated clay bird presentations on the sporting clay
course. The courses are set for the shotgun sportsman who wants to
compete seriously or just have fun. You will find three “dove” towers,
and the 126-foot “tall” tower amongst a backdrop of beautiful huge oak
trees. The station shooting cages are positioned approximately 35
yards from break points, but, members are encouraged to try targets
from different angles and distances outside the cages making a larger
variety of presentations and the “best practice course in the area.”
